The wonderlands of Montenegro start with the capital city of Podgorica all the way to the treasure city of Cetinje. Besides being capital city of Montenegro, Podgorica, is the official commercial and cultural center. This city was built amongst five rivers, the Zeta, Moraca, Ribnica, Cijevna and Sitnica. Although a considerable part of the city was destroyed during WW II, it was rebuilt in almost completely new Podgorica, full of modernity, green spaces, theatres and other places for cultural events.

Sahat-kula Adzi-pasa Osmanagica, the ruins of Nemanjica Grad, remnants of the city of Doclea, Stara Varos, and Vezirov are further cultural and historic monuments in and around Podgorica.

The international airport from the city center is at about nine kilometers away, and the railway and bus stations are also close to one another.

The most interesting part of Podgorice, from a tourist’s perspective remains the National Park Skardarsko or Skadar Lake, biggest lake in Balkan, with exceptional birds and rare plants.

In Montenegro, the city of Kotor is mostly known for its beautiful bays. The fame of Kotor revolves around trading, sailings and wonderful stories. It is a very old city which has preserved its middle ages style. Architecture, monuments of culture, historical heritage, narrow streets and squares, and other such mesmerizing amenities have put Kotor in the “UNESCO’s World Natural and Historical Heritage List”.

Some very interesting amenities of Kotor include churches, cathedral, a palace, carnivals, festivals and so on. Famous churches and objects are: Church of Saint Luke, Church of Saint Ana, Church of Saint May, Church of the Healing Mother of God, Prince’s Palace and Napoleon’s theatre.
